SHE’S GETTING READY TO CLEAN.

I always liked the trope of a “cleaner” type character within crime media. Whether it’s the house cleaners from John Wick, Winston Wolfe from Pulp Fiction or Sawyer from Black Lagoon.

The idea of what’s essentially a killer or killer’s maid has always been amusing to me.

So I painted my own.

A lot of my paintings including this one use photos of me as a posing reference and so plenty of the characters can look very akin to me. This one in particular came quite close to how I looked at the time of making her.

This created some awkward interactions as a few of my friends assumed that she was a photobashed version of me. She’s not. That’s not a picture of my body, it felt a bit embarrassing having to explain that.
