Agalmatophilia (from Ancient Greek ἄγαλμα (ágalma) ‘statue’ and φιλία (philía) ‘love’) is a paraphilia involving sexual attraction to a statue, doll, mannequin, or other similar figurative object. Agalmatophilia is a form of object sexuality.

I still find myself paying extra close attention to the rehearsed performance I often observe, previously referenced in my prior works. How much insincerity infests the ways in which people interact with me.

How little those who speak to me wish to hear me, yet desire my affirmation.

I too am guilty of this and I haven’t stopped reflecting on it.

While I am increasingly more aware these past few years, I cannot shake the fact that much like those who I feel have stared through me, I have done the same at some point.

There’s a communication breakdown embedding itself deep into everything, spawned from the consequences of conflicting, confused and or malicious cultural matrices as well as the head spinning combination of a planned influence, a calculated method of targeting people’s osmosis. It weeds its way into what may rebel against it. Meaningful thoughts of rebellion often spawning from a sincerity that knows it’s surroundings may be suppressing it.

Within what was meant to be connection. I have been objectified and I have objectified. There are objects made for all topics you could speak about, don’t let yourself be turned into one.
