LASSO.

From what I remember my ability was starting to get sloppy from de-motivation and instead of trying to explore my personal works with such a shallow lack of energy, I wanted to do something different from them that was expressively easy on my head.

So I decided to start with drawing a character I enjoy, Makima from Chainsaw Man. I wanted to depict her as almost ogling you in her pose yet not visibly interested on any level beyond simply sitting higher than you, reflecting her manipulative nature.

I was originally going to do a basic, abstract spiral going around her, however as I was drawing Makima’s hair, the idea to make her braids the spiral came to me.

I drew them as these blocky red blotches, somewhat because it looked interesting and mostly because of this other ingenuously self-preserving artistic thought I had… It’s fucking easy.

This work is not one of passion, it’s one of pure and needed leisure. It was fun to make.
